Just finished writing/recording this. It’s called Little Doe’s lament. I based it off an old story about my “hobo altar ego” and her mentors. It’s a cautionary tale, reminding you to not be lazy or give up as soon as things stop being fun, or something goes wrong. 
Mind you, I don’t actually know how to play guitar and my singing is “so-so”, so go easy on me. Hehehe. 

This is called “Little Doe’s Lament (A Hobo Song)”

Little Doe was a blind minded dreamer
Keeping all her secrets in a bindle on her back
And every time the rain came a tumbling down again
She up and ran, her lazy jaw a’slack.

And every time the rain comes
Rain goes
Rain flows
Every time it comes, she looks back.
And every time the sun rose
Sun shined
Sun time
She wished she never ever went back.

When Big Buck fell and greased the tracks below
She thought she lost her life and near cracked
But anytime a deer goes running all a’feared
She knows his spirit roams and leaves tracks.

And any time the rain comes
Rain goes
Rain flows
Any time it comes, she looks back.
And every time the sun rose
Sun shined
Sun time
She wished she never ever went back.

California Bum saw her lookin’ down and glum
Asked her “Little Doe, why ya’ moanin’ like a crone?”
She wiped a tear away, and the dirt upon her face.
“I’m tough but I can’t stand to be alone.”

And any time the rain comes
Rain goes
Rain flows
Every time it comes, she runs back.
And every time the sun rose
Sun shined
Sun time
She wished she never ever went back.

Oh, she wished she never ever went back.

Well, the country at least. :) I’ll get there!
